An 18-year-old Illinois teen charged with fatally shooting two people during a protest in southeastern Wisconsin last year is prohibited from associating with known white supremacists under a judge’s recently modified bail conditions.

In an effort disrupt what it calls "whiteness and white supremacy in libraries", the University of Wisconsin's Gender and Women's Studies Library has published a reading list for students that includes sections on “Whiteness”; “Microaggressions”; and “Decolonizing Research and Knowledge.”

Reports of possible violent demonstrations over the weekend have prompted state governors to take action in anticipation of any potential unrest, such as deploying the National Guard, declaring states of emergency and closing capitols.

The suspect initially claimed he gave the infant to a friend to take to an adoption agency.

A state board on Wednesday suspended the license of a Wisconsin pharmacist accused of ruining more than 500 doses of COVID-19 vaccine because he thought it was unsafe.

Jacob Blake, a Black man who was shot by a White police officer, said in an interview Thursday that he was prepared to surrender before the officer opened fire.

Prosecutors in Wisconsin filed a motion Wednesday asking a judge to forbid Kyle Rittenhouse from drinking alcohol or entering bars, flashing "White supremacist signs" and spending time with Proud Boys members while out on a $2 million bond.

Damaging wind gusts shook the Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountain states on Wednesday, felling trees, downing power lines, closing roadways and killing one person. 

Wisconsin health officials said they identified a case of the U.K. coronavirus variant through ongoing surveillance and whole-genome sequencing, but did not release information pertaining to the patient who tested positive.

It is not clear if being present in the bar violates Kyle Rittenhouse's parole.
