Memphis, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Memphis Grizzlies waived center Hassan Whiteside and guard Kalin Lucas on Thursday.
Both players were re-signed by the team on Wednesday with five Grizzlies sitting out a game in Toronto because of illness.
Whiteside played in five preseason games for Memphis before being waived on Oct. 22. The 25-year-old played in 19 games over his first two seasons with Sacramento.
Lucas had one steal in six minutes during his NBA debut Wednesday at Toronto. He played in eight preseason games with the Grizzlies.
