EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. – Captain Munnerlyn flashed a wide smile when the subject of Carolina came up.
The Minnesota cornerback will play his former team this Sunday.
Munnerlyn says he can't treat this game differently than the others, of course, but he's sure he'll "be a little edgy and "a little chippy" when the Vikings take the field against the Panthers on Sunday.
Munnerlyn was a seventh-round draft pick by the Panthers who spent five seasons with the team until signing as a free agent with the Vikings this year. His performances have been up and down, but his veteran presence has been a boost for a team that has improved its pass defense.
